Dany Bahar, the sacked boss of former Lotus F1 Team sponsor Group Lotus, has reportedly decided to sue the struggling sports car maker.

The Turkish born Swiss was dismissed at the end of an investigation by Lotus’ owner DRB-Hicom into Bahar’s conduct.

That was amid rumours Bahar used Lotus funds to extensively refurbish his several houses.

The Swiss newspaper Bilanz reports that Bahar is filing a suit in London’s High Court for wrongful termination.

The report said Bahar, 40, denies the claims about renovating his homes with Lotus money.

And he also reportedly denies improperly using company funds for private jets and helicopters.

Group Lotus and Proton, the DRB-Hicom-owned Malaysian carmaker, did not comment.

Bahar did not respond to an email.
