Boullier could have factory job in 2017 - report

"This is a role I already did in my day at Lotus"

The executive reshuffling at McLaren could leave Eric Boullier with a factory-based job in 2017.

That is the claim of Spain’s Marca, during a week in which Ron Dennis was ousted as group CEO by his fellow McLaren shareholders.

But that’s not the only reshuffling taking place at the famous British team, after Jost Capito recently started work as McLaren’s new F1 CEO.

It seems there is some crossover between German Capito and Boullier’s roles, with Marca claiming it could mean the Frenchman does not attend all the races next year.

"In these times, and with 21 races, a single main team cannot do all of the work of a team," Boullier commented.

"We spend a lot of time away from home and if you need someone to stay at the factory, performing other tasks, then this is a role I already did in my day at Lotus," he added.
