Bernie Ecclestone on Friday dropped a few more hints about the likely composition of the 2013 calendar.

Earlier, the F1 chief executive revealed that, like this season, next year’s schedule will feature 20 races.

Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport said the diminutive Briton then paid a brief visit to the media centre at the Hungaroring, stating that if the Nurburgring cannot solve its financial crisis, "We will be in Hockenheim" next year.

The report said Valencia is being dropped, making room for New Jersey.

But the Italian news agency AGI quoted Ecclestone as saying a race will only "probably" take place amid the backdrop of the famous Manhattan skyline.

Otherwise, "There will be 20 races," said the 81-year-old, "more or less the same ones."

It emerged on Friday that the 2013 season will begin in Melbourne in mid March, and end in Brazil eight months later.
