Formula One CEO Bernie Ecclestone has reiterated his belief that neither Campos Meta nor USF1 will be ready to compete in Bahrain next month.

“I think we won’t see Campos and I don’t think we will see the Americans," he told the Express.

Ecclestone went on to explain that teams could now miss up to three races under the current concorde agreement, but believes that Serbian team StefanGP is best placed to join Formula One full time. “They have got the money from the Serbian government, I’ve spoken to the prime minister," he said.

Campos has admitted to its financial problems and hopes to conclude a deal with week with new investors to ensure they can travel to Bahrain. USF1 has always claimed they have the funds in place to compete, but it remains to be seen who these backers are.
