F1’s travelling correspondents have found wet weather in Turkey.

"First off the plane in Istanbul," wrote the Daily Mirror’s Byron Young on Twitter. "It’s raining!"

Agreed The Times’ Kevin Eason: "Arrived Istanbul. Looks like a wet weekend in Rotherham (UK). Soaking."

And Reuters writer Alan Baldwin wrote: "Car wipers all the way to hotel."

The Red Bull team Tweeter added: "Australia = rain; Malaysia = rain; China = a bit of rain; Turkey = rain. Mr Ecclestone’s wet weather request seems to have been fulfilled."

Well-known photography agency Sutton Images said upon arrival in Turkey: "It’s cold and damp today, weather not looking good for weekend."

Surmised Lotus driver Heikki Kovalainen: "Sounds like its going to be (a) cool and maybe wet weekend".
