Ferrari struggle with new flexible wing - report

It can’t quite make it work

Chargement ...

Ferrari designed and tested a more flexible front wing recently but it did not work as planned.

That is the claim of the Italian publication Autosprint, with Fernando Alonso quoted as admitting the intention was for "better cornering behaviour".

In short, the idea of the increased flexibility was not to get it to bend closer to the ground, but to be able to adjust to the different flows of air whilst the car is changing direction.

But "in the only tests done so far, it was difficult (for Ferrari) to get it working", added Autosprint.
