Mercedes confirms Deutsche Post sponsor deal

On Wednesday in Monaco, Mercedes confirmed that it has concluded a sponsorship deal with Deutsche Post.

We reported in March that the German logistics giant, who through its subsidiary DHL is already an official partner of the world championship itself, is in talks about backing the Brackley based team.

It was rumoured that the deal could be ready to debut in Spain last weekend, but in fact the logos will be added to the livery and front wing of the grey W01 car in Monaco.

MERCEDES GP PETRONAS and Deutsche Post are pleased to announce a new partnership between the team and the German communications company starting from the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo this weekend.

Mercedes-Benz and the MERCEDES GP PETRONAS team will be supporting Deutsche Post’s new ‘Online Letter’ initiative and will be making use of this new method of online communication in their day-to-day business operations.

The famous ‘Post Horn’, the icon of Deutsche Post, will feature on the chassis and front wings of the MGP W01 cars of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg from this weekend’s prestigious Monaco Grand Prix.

Jürgen Gerdes, Member of the Board BRIEF und PAKET Deutschland of Deutsche Post said: “The partnership with Daimler and their premium car brand Mercedes-Benz is a perfect match for Deutsche Post and its targets.
