Red Bull Racing confirmed that tech guru Adrian Newey will remain with the team after an agreement was made on a multi-year deal.

As part of the new agreement, Newey will transition into a role in which he will be responsible for Red Bull Technology projects. He will also continue to advise the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team as it develops their new challengers for the seasons ahead.

The specific details of Newey’s new role are to be announced by Red Bull in due course.

Adrian Newey started working with Red Bull Racing as Chief Technical Officer in 2006. Red Bull Racing won its first Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championships in 2010 before going on to retain the title in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
