Sauber managing director Monisha Kaltenborn on Friday said there is no doubt Sergio Perez will race this weekend in Valencia.

The Mexican rookie sat out both Monaco and Canada with concussion, but was faster than his teammate Kamui Kobayashi in both practice sessions on Friday on the streets of the Spanish port city Valencia.

"Yes, he is completely well," Kaltenborn said late on Friday.

Perez confirmed: "Everything went okay, I feel well and I have done a lot of work over the last weeks to get there."

Less impressive is the pace of the C30, with the 21-year-old admitting Sauber is off the pace this weekend.
