The Formula One teams are back on track today in Abu Dhabi, with their regular drivers at the wheel, for a two-day test with Pirelli.
This test is meant for them to get to grips with the Italian manufacturers’ tyres and gather as much data as possible.
World Champion Sebastian Vettel is on duty for Red Bull and currently leads the way ahead of Ferrari’s Massa and Renault’s Kubica.
The German’s fastest time remains 1.5s slower than his pole position time, and 2.7s slower than Ricciardo’s best time (set on Wednesday afternoon with Bridgestone tyres).
Massa had been quick all morning and set the pace before Vettel took over at the front. Kobayashi and Paffett complete the top five.
Only one incident was reported this morning: Adrian Sutil had to prematurely stop because of a broken exhaust on his Force India. The mechanics will fix the car during the lunch break and Paul di Resta should be able to test this afternoon.
