Sebastian Vettel is sporting a minor scrape on the palm of his right hand this weekend in Hungary.

The Red Bull driver, reigning world champion and 2011 championship leader reportedly cut his hand last week.

Television images captured the injury during Friday practice at the Hungaroring, with the 24-year-old’s hand wrapped in athletic sporting tape.

"He’s making a big fuss about nothing," Red Bull’s official Twitter channel ’redbullf1spy’ said jokingly. "It’s a very, very small cut. A scratch."

The BBC’s radio pit reporter agreed that there is "no injury" to the German, who was fifth fastest in afternoon practice in Budapest.

"It will be a tough one," said Vettel after Friday’s 180 minutes of practice.
