After Saturday’s horrible weather, the Suzuka skies are blue and sunny ahead of the postponed qualifying session on Sunday morning.

There are, however, still some damp areas around the 5.8 kilometre circuit from the easing overnight rain, but drivers are likely to select slick tyres rather than intermediates.

The cars will enter parc ferme conditions after qualifying at 10am, approximately four hours before the 2010 Japanese grand prix.
