Whiting happy after India track inspection

Charlie Whiting inspected the Buddh circuit on Thursday and indicated that the new Delhi venue is on track to host India’s inaugural grand prix next month.

The September 1 inspection was earmarked as central to the circuit’s mandatory homologation by the governing FIA.

The Times of India said Whiting "stated that the progress was more than satisfactory and exceeded expectations from when he last visited the site."

The FIA official also reportedly "expressed confidence that the inaugural Indian grand prix will be a huge success".
