On Saturday 11th June 2011 a magnificent field – yet another one - of fifty-six cars will roar off down the pits straight.
It will consist of works cars from Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Lotus, Peugeot and Porsche, without forgetting the numerous excellent private teams, plus the presence of Japanese giants Honda, Nissan and Toyota as engine suppliers: they will all help the 79th Le Mans 24 Hours to become part of the legend - a legend that will grow even greater in stature in 2011 thanks to the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup.
This new series of endurance races launched by the ACO will see twenty-six cars, most of which are entered by eight major manufacturers from the world of the car industry, doing battle over seven events, including the Le Mans 24 Hours, on three continents.
