After SS3: Neuville extends Yalta Rally lead

Wilks still 2nd, Bouffier up to 3rd

Thierry Neuville has extended his lead of the Prime Yalta Rally to 6.9s over Guy Wilks after winning Friday’s opening stage, the 17.26-kilometre Ai Petri test.

He was 4.2s faster than his closest rival, his fellow Peugeot 207 Super 2000 driver Bryan Bouffier, who moves into third place.

Juho Hänninen, who is vowing to make up for the 10-second time penalty handed to him yesterday, was third fastest in his Škoda Motorsport Fabia to move from 11th to sixth in the overall standings.
