This is the Craft-Bamboo Racing Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 Grégoire Demoustier will use when he makes his FIA World Touring Car Championship debut in Argentina next month.
Craft-Bamboo is returning to the WTCC in 2015 two years after claiming the Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy with James Nash. The team has recently completed the build of its Cruze in readiness for the 12-event season.
Finished in a striking blue, grey and white colour scheme in deference to sponsor Eurodatacar, Demoustier covered 100 kilometres when he sampled the machine for the first time at the Bruntingthorpe proving ground in central England on Wednesday.
“Everything is new for me: the car, the team and the championship,” said ex-GT racer Demoustier. “I know it will be hard, but that makes the challenge very exciting and interesting. The goal will be to step up during the season and produce some good results.”
Craft-Bamboo Racing CEO Richard Coleman added: “The team has worked incredibly hard with our partners to get the car not only ready for Argentina but also to allow enough time to perform some running this week. Nonetheless, the first race will be a challenge with such limited time to prepare but the team has race winning experience at this level and I am confident we can get on top of the car quickly.”
