Paolo Andreucci has regained the lead of Rallye Sanremo after completing Saturday’s opening test, the 29.56-kilometre Ceppo 1 run, almost 10 seconds faster than overnight leader Giandomenico Basso.

Intercontinental Rally Challenge leader Juho Hänninen was fastest through the stage in his Škoda Motorsport Fabia to move from fifth to fourth, at the expense of Kris Meeke, who slipped to sixth overall.

Guy Wilks is out after striking a low wall with the rear left corner of his Škoda UK Motorsport Fabia approximately seven kilometres into the stage.
