Paolo Andreucci has moved back into the lead of Rally d´Italia-Sardegna after winning the first of two runs through the Monte Lerno stage.

Kris Meeke had led by 12.2 seconds heading into the test but could only manage the fourth fastest time on ther slippery stage surface.

Meeke now trails Andreucci, who made the most of a lowly road position, by 2.6s heading into Saturday’s final stage, the repeat of Monte Lerno.

Here’s what the lead drivers had to say after SS6:

Paolo Andreucci (11): "The stage was OK, it was good, but do not know the time."

Kris Meeke (3): "It is so narrow, I can not to do mistake here. It is very slippery."

Juho Hänninen (2): "Very nice stage, very very nice! I tried to do my best, it is not easy."

Jan Kopecký (6): "It was quite narrow, but it went very well, OK."

Thierry Neuville (10): "I feel good, not bad. There is more gravel for us, because we are now sixth car on the road. The conditions are changing."

Teemu Arminen (14): "I am trying to be clever in driving, but did you ever see clever rally driver?"

Per Gunnar Andersson (5): "I did not do good time here, this car is too big."
