Norbert Michelisz is having a black series. After the drive-through in Budapest for causing the pile-up at the start of the second race and yesterday’s exclusion from the qualifying due to underweight, the Hungarian youngster was given another drive-through for pushing Darryl O’Young off today’s Race 2.

This resulted in 30 seconds added to his elapsed time, meaning he was demoted from 11th to 15th. The Stewards also imposed him a drop of 10 grid positions that remains suspended for the next three events.

Norbert Michelisz: “I was close to overtake Darryl O’Young but I changed my mind in the last moment but then he tried to turn on the racing line but the front of my car was still there. If he would have left some room we could have avoid the accident but I could have been more definite as well.

“Basically the main problem was that I didn’t feel good at all in the car. It changed from being understeered to being oversteered, it was very tough to handle. After starting from the back of the grid on both races, I don’t think I could have finish ahead 9th on Race 2.”

Another investigation concerned the collision between Gabriele Tarquini and Kristian Poulsen – also in the second race – ended up in a reprimand for the Italian driver.
