Bryan Bouffier has vowed to put the disappointment of missing out on the Intercontinental Rally Challenge title decider in Cyprus last month behind him by confirming that he wants to contest the series again in 2012.

Bouffier, whose victory on Rallye Monte-Carlo for Peugeot France helped him to sixth place in the final IRC drivers’ classification this season, completed his 10-event programme on the penultimate round in Scotland and was therefore unable to compete on the Mediterranean island.

“I have a lot of plans for next season but whether I will be able to reach them I don’t know”, said Bouffier. “But I will be pushing for the IRC again and I hope I can find a solution.”
