Bryan Bouffier admits he still needs to find more pace on Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés.

The Intercontinental Rally Challenge leader is almost 50 seconds off first place on the all-asphalt event at the wheel of a Peugeot France 207 Super 2000.

“I’m just not able to go quicker and it’s not natural for me to be in this position,” said the Rallye Monte-Carlo winner. “For sure I am a bit disappointment. Maybe I thought this rally would be easy but it’s quite specific. I would like to get one or two good times before the end but it’s not easy.”

Bouffier is currently locked in a close battle with Guy Wilks and Andreas Mikkelsen for fifth position.
