"Rocks will be pulled into the road"

Bryan Bouffier says caution will be key on the final stage of Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse.

Driving a Peugeot 207 Super 2000 for the Italian Delta Rally team, Bouffier is currently fourth overall on his second appearance in this year’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge following his podium finish on the opening event of the season in Açores.

He fears the deteriorating nature of the stage surface, the result of rocks and other debris getting dragged onto the road, will make it harder to complete the run without any issues.

“We will try to drive our best but we have to be careful because rocks will be pulled into the road and for sure it will be easy to get a puncture,” said the French driver.

The third run through the Marinca-Cagnano test, which forms the 14th and final stage of the IRC qualifier gets underway at 18:10hrs local time
