Saintéloc Racing team manger Vincent Ducher has revealed his delight after confirming Craig Breen will return to the Intercontinental Rally Challenge in one of his squad’s Peugeot 207 Super 2000s.

Breen, from Ireland, hasn’t competed in the IRC since his co-driver Gareth Roberts lost his life on Targa Florio-Rally Internazionale Di Sicilia in June.

“We are really glad he’s coming back to our team because he’s a really, really fast driver, a really professional driver and I think he can do very well in Sanremo,” said Saintéloc team manager Vincent Ducher, who confirmed Breen will test in Italy before the rally.

Sanremo completes Breen’s intended four-event IRC campaign with Saintéloc, which will field a second Peugeot on the Italian asphalt rally for Swiss ace Florian Gonon.
