Barum Czech Rally Zlín sensation Craig Breen won’t rule out contesting more rounds of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge this season – providing he can secure the necessary financial backing.

The 21-year-old from Ireland finished seventh overall in Czech Republic last weekend on his first appearance on the demanding Tarmac rally in an M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000.

“It’s the financial side of things that are difficult,” said Breen. “It would be foolish to get big headed. Okay it’s seventh overall in the IRC but there are still six guys in front of me that I need to beat and that is a long way down the road from happening. It’s only my third year of rallying.”

Finances permitting Breen is considering Rallye Sanremo and RACMSA Rally of Scotland as possible events.
