Only a finish will do for Michael Burri when he makes his Intercontinental Rally Challenge debut on the Sibiu Rally in Romania from 19-21 July.

The Swiss driver, who is co-driven by Stéphane Rey, will pilot a Saintéloc Racing Peugeot 207 Super 2000 on the gravel event. He has only driven the car in competition on three previous occasions and never on gravel.

“We’re determined to have a good rally, but above all our aim is to gain experience with the car on this surface,” said Burri. “I’ve seen a lot of onboard film of the previous events and the stages look pretty good.”

Team manager Vincent Ducher added: “Michael will also discover several new parameters in Romania. It’s important for him to see the finish.”
