Corsican hero Pierre Campana is convinced he can reclaim the third place he lost to Jan Kopecký on stage four of Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse.

Campana trails his Czech rival by 1.5s starting the fifth stage of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge event, Erabajolo-Pont d’Altiani, which is being shown live on Eurosport and Eurosport Player.

“I was beginning today with no risk and the feeling of the car is better today so I am confident,” said Campana, who lives in Corte where day two is based. “I know I can push more so I am not worried.”

Kopecký said: “It was a good start for today and I was pleased with my time. I lost some time yesterday with my mistake so each stage today I try to make up more time because I am here to race and get the best result I can. The rally is still long so we will see how it goes.”
