Burcu Çetinkaya would prefer a dry Rallye Sanremo following a strong pre-event test close to the event route on Monday.

The Peugeot Sport Turkey driver covered 80 kilometres during the test, which was held in dry and sunny conditions.

“We had a good test and if it is dry on the rally then I will be happy,” said the Istanbul resident. “I was not so happy in the wet in Czech Republic because I had no time to practice but it can be a different story in the dry.”

Çetinkaya, who is undertaking an expansive programme of Intercontinental Rally Challenge events this year, has never competed in Sanremo before. However, rain is expected on day one of the event, with some reports suggesting it will rain heavily on Friday night.
