Burcu Cetinkaya completed her second appearance in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge this season with a top-20 finish at the wheel of a SKODA Fabia S2000. But the IRC’s leading female driver isn’t about to put her feet up for the winter.
Cetinkaya, from Turkey, will contest the Hitit Rally in her homeland from 19/20 November before she enters the Dubai International Rally from 1-3 December, the final round of the Middle East Rally Championship.
“Apart from the last two rounds of the IRC we will also be doing the last leg of the Middle East championship in Dubai,” said Cetinkaya. “It’s good to be back and at least we have done three events.”
Cetinkaya had been due to contest an expanded schedule of IRC rallies this year but the loss of key sponsor limited her programme to the season-closing rounds in Scotland and Cyprus.
