Kris Meeke has become Rally d’Italia-Sardegna’s third different leader in as many stages following a rapid run through the second Monte Grighine stage.
The Peugeot UK driver was 3.8 seconds faster than Juho Hänninen, the Intercontinental Rally Challenge leader, and now heads Paolo Andreucci in the overall standings by 10.5s.
Andreucci reported adopting a more cautious approach through the test, which was getting increasingly rough and cut up. He is second with Hänninen consolidating third place, more than half a minute ahead of Škoda Motorsport team-mate Jan Kopecký.
