Saturday in the UK, RML successfully completed the shakedown of the first two TC1 Chevrolet Cruze cars that will take part in the 2014 WTCC.

Both cars completed their shakedown programme and gave RML some much needed mileage and data ahead of being handed over to customer teams, Campos Racing and ROAL Motorsport.

RML’s Director of Motorsport, Ron Hartvelt commented: “The timeline for this project has been incredibly tight and I was immensely proud of everyone involved when car 001 rolled out this morning. That this shakedown was successfully completed to the schedule we predicted back in October is a testament to the talent and dedication of the whole organisation. Of course we would have much preferred a proper test and development programme before handing the cars over, but we are confident that the customer teams will do a good job.”

Cars 001 and 002 will test in Valencia later this week with Campos Racing driver, Hugo Valente and ROAL Motorsport driver, Tom Chilton.
