It is an age-old cry from every boy in the land - but the bigger the boy, the bigger the toys!
And for this Christmas, we’ve asked some of our Ford drivers to share with us a bit of Christmas past and future.
So read on if you want to see what Stobart M-Sport Ford’s Matthew Wilson and Henning Solberg would like to find amongst the trees this year!
If you were able to have any rally car from any generation which one would it be and why?
It would have to be the Mk2 Escort. The sound of them was awesome and I had a road car version when I was eight-years-old for flying around the field at home.
What was the first toy car you can remember receiving at Christmas?
I can’t really remember what my first toy car was but I’m sure it would have been a model of one of my Dad’s rally cars.
What was the first accessory you got for a car as a Christmas present?
It wasn’t for a car but I remember receiving a trailer for my quad bike.
What driver have you most admired?
I obviously admired my dad as a driver and also Ari Vatanen was a hero for me. He actually taught me to drive when I was seven!
What driver would you like to have pitted yourself against?
It would have been amazing to compete in the group B era against drivers like Walter Rohrl and Ari Vatanen.
If you were able to have any rally car from any generation which one would it be and why?
A Mitsubishi Evo 3 – it’s just a great car and I have some very nice memories.
What was the first toy car you can remember receiving at Christmas?
I can’t remember but I do recall my brother [Petter Solberg] getting a radio controlled car and feeling jealous. It was a WRC model of some sort.
What was the first accessory you got for a car as a Christmas present?
A coloured seat cover.
What driver have you most admired?
Colin McRae, of course.
What driver would you like to have pitted yourself against?
There are so many but if I had to pick one it would be Tommi Mäkinen.
