Mehdi Bennani will complete Citroën’s Manufacturers Against the Clock line-up for the second event running after he was chosen ahead of team-mates Tom Chilton and Grégoire Demoustier.
Last season’s WTCC Trophy runner-up partnered Citroën factory drivers José María López and Yvan Muller when the firm won the inaugural WTCC MAC3 contest at Circuit Paul Ricard earlier this month by 0.030s ahead of LADA.
And Citroën is counting on the Moroccan to help deliver more WTCC MAC3 success when the Tour de France-inspired team time trial takes place at 15h00 local time tomorrow (Saturday).
Honda has nominated works trio Rob Huff, Norbert Michelisz and Tiago Monteiro to form its WTCC MAC3 bid, while factory drivers Nicky Catsburg, Gabriele Tarquini and Hugo Valente front LADA’s effort.
