After SS5: Hänninen ends Meeke’s run

Peugeot UK’s Kris Meeke continues to lead Rally Internacional de Curitiba but his unbeaten run of stage victories has come to an end after Juho Hänninen triumphed on SS5, Curitiba 2, in his Škoda Fabia S2000.

However, Meeke was able to extend his lead over Guy Wilks to 26.6s after the Škoda UK driver completed the 10.91-kilometre run 3.5s slower than Meeke.

After SS6: Meeke back on top in Brazil

Kris Meeke has returned to winning ways with the fastest time on stage six, the third run of the Campo Magro stage. It means the Peugeot 207 pilot will start Friday’s final test with a lead of 27.8 seconds over fellow Briton Guy Wilks. Škoda Fabia driver Wilks was second quickest over the 18.85-kilometre course.

Meeke wasn’t the only driver to make up ground on the stage: Juho Hänninen moved into fourth overall ahead of Peugeot Portugal’s Bruno Magalhães.

After SS7: Meeke increases Curitiba lead

Briton Kris Meeke has completed the opening leg of Rally Internacional de Curitiba with a lead of 32.7 seconds over his countryman Guy Wilks. It follows the Peugeot 207 driver’s sixth stage win of the day. Juho Hänninen continued his recovery from his earlier puncture to cement fourth overall in his works Škoda Fabia with the third fastest time over the 9.58-kilometre Ouro Fino course.
