Several leading Cypriot journalists enjoyed a high-speed ride with Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion Andreas Mikkelsen in the build-up to the Cyprus Rally last week.
Representatives of Time Out Cyprus magazine, Sigma TV, Mega TV and Cybc (the only motorsport programme in Cyprus), were all given the opportunity to accompany Mikkelsen in a ŠKODA UK Motorsport Fabia Super 2000 test car.
Unfortunately, there was one person who left the test venue without a smile on his face. One of Mikkelsen’s mechanics, Marco Pardoi, suffered a foot injury. He returned to his native Italy to recuperate following treatment on the island.
The Cyprus Rally, the final round of the all-action IRC season six, enjoyed a high turnout of national and international media.
