Johan Heloïse says he will prioritise maximising his experience of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge he tackles this season rather than fighting for top 10 finishes in his Top Run Motorsport Subaru Impreza R4 STI.

Heloïse, from Martinique, took part on selected IRC rounds in 2011 in preparation for a full attack this year alongside co-driver Tibo Gorczyca from France.

“The main, essential and maximum thing is to participate in all the IRC rounds to get the knowledge of each rally,” said Heloïse. “With only three races behind me in the IRC it is too soon to talk about or event consider possible results on each event, mainly because the IRC is very competitive with extremely fast drivers and several champions. But after we complete the first races with the new car we can establish our aims.”
