Bruno Magalhães says his chances of achieving more success in this season’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge have been boosted by the experience he gained during his 2010 campaign.

The 30-year-old from Lisbon scored his maiden IRC victory on Sata Rallye Açores last term and ended the year in fifth place in the final drivers’ standings following an impressive display in his Peugeot Sport Portugal 207 Super 2000.

Magalhães, who will be reunited with former co-driver Paulo Grave for 2011, has yet to finalise his programme for this season but will definitely contest the centenary edition of Rallye Monte-Carlo from 18-22 January.

He said: “For sure I will have more chances this year because I have more experience. Okay, there are some new rallies for me again but when it is the same for everybody I think I can be stronger because I’ve got more knowledge of the car set-up.”

“In the middle of last season I was third in the championship and I think the experience I have can make me better.”
