Finding sponsors is not easy

Roger Feghali hopes that his debut appearance in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge on the FxPro Cyprus Rally earlier this month won’t be his last in the series.

Feghali, from Lebanon, finished second on the mixed-surface event at the wheel of his privately-run Skoda Fabia Super 2000 alongside co-driver Joseph Matar. He now hopes that he can attract financial support to enter more rounds in the future.

"The market in my country is so small so finding sponsors is not easy but I try to come back to the IRC because I liked it very much," said the 37-year-old. "It was a good performance for me and my small team against the bigger teams [in Cyprus] and for that reason I am very proud. We will see what can happen for the future."

Feghali, who hails from Wadi Chahrouri in Lebanon, has won his country’s domestic rally title on eight occasions.
