Sebastien Loeb doesn’t expect any major changes to be made to his Citroen DS3 WRC ahead of next season’s World Rally Championship getting underway on Rallye Monte-Carlo in January.
Loeb, who will be chasing his ninth world title in 2012 at the start of a two-year extension to his existing Citroen deal, was speaking following the finish of Wales Rally GB in Cardiff on Sunday afternoon.
He said: “It’s not dramatic changes, just some adjustment I think. The car is already on a high level of development and it’s difficult to make big differences now.”
Unlike WRC title rival Jari-Matti Latvala, Loeb will not contest Rallye du Var in France at the end of this month. Instead he will head to Italy for the Monza Rally Show where he will drive a DS3 WRC
“Monza is the same weekend as Var so I will go there instead and drive in the DS3,” said Loeb. “Then it’s testing for Monte. In fact, I’m testing on gravel next week already. It’s a development test.”
It’s currently unclear when Loeb’s new team-mate Mikko Hirvonen will get his first run in a Citroen.
