Patrik Flodin will take to the race tracks of his native Sweden to prepare for next month’s Giru di Corsica - Tour de Corse.

Flodin has signed up for a season in the Chevrolet Camaro Cup in his homeland in an effort to increase his pace on asphalt, the surface used on five of the seven Intercontinental Rally Challenge events he will tackle in a Petter Solberg Engineering-run M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000 this year.

“I have a test this week at Mantorp Park and then my first race will be the weekend before Corsica,” said the 27-year-old Flodin. “I think it can help me to get a better feeling for the Tarmac driving. Also, the chassis of the car is good and the level of the drivers is strong.”
