Marco Tempestini will return to the scene of his first gravel event when he contests Rally San Marino this week.
Tempestini, a frontrunner in the IRC Production Cup in an R4-specification Subaru Impreza, competed in San Marino for the first time in 1995.
“I have many beautiful memories of this place so I want to take as much enjoyment as possible,” said the Romania-based ace, who is partnered by Dorin Pulpea in their Napoca Rally Academy entry. “This rally is very important to me and this year’s rally includes some historic stages, which are legendary stages for rally enthusiasts.”
Tempestini arrives in San Marino on the back of a successful pre-event test in Italy. “The car ran perfectly so we hope it will run the same during the race,” said the Italian-born driver. “We found a good set-up for this event.”
