Craig Breen plans to count on co-driver Paul Nagle’s previous experience of competing on Rallye Sanremo when he makes his debut on the Intercontinental Rally Challenge counter.

Breen, from Ireland, has never competed on the Italian asphalt event before but Nagle is a past master having navigated Kris Meeke to the IRC drivers’ crown in Sanremo back in 2009 during their stint with Peugeot UK.

“It’s my first time to take part in the rally but I’m lucky as Paul was here three years ago with Kris and won so that’s a great help,” said Breen, who will making his IRC return in a Saintéloc Racing Peugeot 207 Super 2000. “There’s some stiff competition with the IRC regulars and the usual amount of Italian entries but for sure we’ll be doing everything we can to get a good result for the team. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to compete in the IRC again.”
