Florian Gonon will be bidding to make it three wins from three starts in the IRC Production Cup when he contests the GEKO Ypres Rally this week.

Gonon, from Switzerland, finished first in the category on Rallye Monte-Carlo and Tour de Corse-E.Leclerc earlier this season in his Annie Spiers Rallye Team Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

As a result, he heads José Luís Barrios and Volodymyr Pechenyk by 25 points in the drivers’ standings.

Gonon competed in Ypres for the first time last year, finishing 16th overall alongside co-driver Sandra Arlettaz.

More than 20 crews will be in contention for IRC Production Cup honours in Belgium with local drivers Alexandre Romain and Jonas Langenakens the highest seeds in their Ralliart Mitsubishi Lancers.
