Florian Gonon plans to go back to school when he returns to Intercontinental Rally Challenge action in Czech Republic from 31 August-2 September.

The Swiss Peugeot driver is a Barum Czech Rally Zlín rookie and says he plans to use the event to build his knowledge of the demanding asphalt stages, while also increasing experience behind the wheel of his Saintéloc Racing 207 Super 2000.

“The aim is to rack up the kilometres, get to know the Peugeot 207 Super 2000 better as it requires a lot of experience to get the very best out of it,” said Gonon, runner-up in the IRC Production Cup in 2011. “We’re going to do our utmost to achieve this, and when we’ve progressed in keeping with the targets we’ve set ourselves, we can then fix our objectives in terms of results.”
