Florian Gonon claimed top IRC Production Cup spoils for the second time this season on last week’s Tour de Corse-E.Leclerc but says he is unsure whether he will be able to chase the inaugural class title.
Gonon, from Switzerland, took a commanding victory in the showroom category at the wheel of a Subaru Impreza WRX he was sharing with compatriot Sandra Arlettaz.
He said: “We’re just a small private team and I have a real job as well, so that would be tricky as we’re not doing all the rounds. But we’re certainly going to go to Ypres and Sanremo, so we’ll see how it all develops.”
Gonon also claimed IRC Production Cup honours on January’s Rallye Monte-Carlo.
