Juho Hänninen knows what it takes to be a winner in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge if his record of success is anything to go by.

Not only is the ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000-driving Finn a former IRC champion, he has also won more rounds of the all-action series than any other rival, a figure he increased to nine with his triumph on the Donnelly Group Circuit of Ireland Rally recently.

“It was a fantastic rally, mainly thanks to Andreas Mikkelsen for the battle we had,” said Hänninen. “We were pretty fast all over this weekend and we’re very happy now.”

Top five IRC event winners
1 Juho Hänninen (Finland): 9
2 Freddy Loix (Belgium): 7
3 Jan Kopecký (Czech Republic): 6
4 Kris Meeke (United Kingdom): 5
5 Giandomenico Basso (Italy): 4
