Hänninen moves into first place

Juho Hänninen has moved into the lead of Rally d’Italia-Sardegna for the first time after Kris Meeke lost time on Sunday’s second stage, the 13.18-kilometre Terranova test.

Hänninen was second fastest through the stage to Škoda Motorsport team-mate Jan Kopecký and now leads Meeke by 3.6s in the overall standings.

Paolo Andreucci holds third in his Peugeot Italia 207, 16.5s adrift of Hänninen, with Kopecký now 21.6s behind in fourth.

Thierry Neuville is still fifth in his Peugeot but P-G Andersson has closed to within 1.8s of sixth-placed Teemu Arminen after going fourth quickest on the stage in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
