Juho Hänninen will have to play the waiting game before he is able to chase more wins in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.

The 2010 IRC champion set a new benchmark on the Geko Ypres Rally last month when he claimed his 10th win in the series to underline his status as the IRC’s most successful driver.

However, with a prior commitment to the clashing European championship-counting Bosphorus Rally in Turkey meaning he won’t be contesting the latest round of the IRC in San Marino, the ace Finn will have to wait a little longer before he is able to chase his 11th IRC triumph.

“The event is a complete unknown to us but we still feel more comfortable driving on gravel,” said Hänninen. “We go to Turkey with an ambition to gain as much experience as possible and seal our top position in the European standings.”
