Rob Huff will enter his 12th season of FIA World Touring Car Championship competition “100 per cent committed” to achieving more WTCC success.
Huff, whose 249 WTCC starts is a championship record, endured his first winless campaign since 2006, ending the year P10 in the final standings, albeit with podiums in Russia and Japan in his Rosneft-backed LADA Vesta, which was readied for action just before the start of the 2015 season in Argentina.
Following a tough end to the year in Qatar last month, where handling woes and brake issues resulted in two non-scores, the Briton remained in the Middle East to look back on 2015 and prepare his bid for more WTCC glory in 2016.
“I took a week out in Dubai with my family and I’ll have some time to reflect on the past year, think about the future and plan my assault on the 2016 WTCC – my 12th consecutive season at the pinnacle of international touring car competition,” said Huff. “LADA will return with a new chassis and some engineering improvements that I’m sure will make a significant difference and I will be 100 per cent committed as always.”
