Harry Hunt will still complete his planned schedule in the IRC 2WD Cup despite confirming an agreement to contest Rallye Sanremo in a Peugeot 207 Super 2000.

Hunt, who holds a 26-point lead over Renault driver Robert Consani in the two-wheel-drive category, is due to contest Rally Sliven in Bulgaria later this month and November’s Cyprus Rally in his familiar lime green Citroën DS3 R3T.

“We’ve decided to run two extra rallies in our calendar this year and we felt it was a perfect opportunity to sample some four-wheel-drive machinery,” explained the 24-year-old Briton, who won the IRC 2WD Cup crown in 2010.
