The all-Romanian crew of Marco Tempestini and Dorin Pulpea hope to keep their bid for the IRC Production Cup crown firmly on track when they contest Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse this week.

Competing in a Subaru Impreza R4 STI, Tempestini and Pulpea are currently equal fourth in the drivers’ and co-drivers’ classifications respectively after making two appearances so far this season.

“Corsica is the most difficult Tarmac rally so I really wanted to be a part of it,” said Tempestini. “It is a very long rally and our goal is to gather as many points as possible. Getting a good result here won’t be easy at all, but we’ll do all we can to leave the island with as many points as possible. Our goal is to finish on the podium in the IRC Production Cup at the end of this season and I think we have a good chance of reaching it.”

They will face opposition from several rival Subaru drivers, plus Renault Mégane aces François Delecour and Emmanuel Guigou.
